ConnectingVA is a website created by the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) to provide a central resource for Virginians to learn about, access, and make use of transit options that meet their needs. DRPT partners with and provides funding to commuter assistance programs operated by transit agencies, local governments, planning agencies, and transportation management associations throughout the Commonwealth.

We are the Commonwealth’s advocate for promoting transportation options to the public, businesses, and community decision makers. Our vision is a connected Commonwealth with an integrated multimodal network that serves every person, every business, and every need.

Our database consists of hundreds of registered commuters with new commuters registering every day. It is possible that other commuters seeking to share a ride may contact you.
