Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) provides daily bus service for Charlottesville and portions of Albemarle County.
Jaunt
JAUNT offers commuter routes, intracounty transit, and paratransit serving Albemarle, Buckingham, Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Louisa, and Nelson.
University Transit Service (UTS) operates bus service in and around the grounds of the University of Virginia.

Greene County Transit offers commuter routes, inter-county transit, and paratransit serving Greene County.
Central Shenandoah Planning District

BRITE provides bus service throughout Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County.

RADAR is a non-profit corporation which provides rural public transit services and specialized transit primarily in the “Greater Roanoke Valley.”
RATS provides transportation to medical centers in Rockbridge County as well as surrounding areas, local health care appointments, work, shopping, civic and social activities.

Afton Express provides commuter bus transport safely over Afton Mountain to destinations in Charlottesville. With free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and affordable pricing, commuters can do something other than driving when they ride Afton Express.

Our program covers anyone who lives or works in the following areas: cities of Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Staunton and Waynesboro; and the counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Bath, Fluvanna, Greene, Highland, Louisa, Nelson, Rockbridge and Rockingham.
